The sun terrace with outdoor seating, tables and parasols is a favourite for those seeking the sun – stretching out over the seafront with views across the beach you can watch the ships sail by all day and all night long, and with more fabulous facilities that really go hand in hand for a perfect way to end the day.

We know that everyone likes to be flexible these days, so we make it even easier – you don’t have to decide straight away or at the time of booking, and the price won’t differ…
Just walk-in each morning you wish to dine with us, or you can reserve a table for the duration of your stay at reception when you arrive, it’s up to you.

Horizon Dining
With comfortable seating, a good vibe, and attentive service, the Sandringham Hotel’s 150 seater restaurant simply is the perfect place to eat and drink in a gorgeous setting on the beachfront in Sandown, open daily for breakfast.
We are not serving an evening meal in the 2026 season however, our team have a vast knowledge of the local area and some fab eateries nearby, whatever you’re looking for. Right on our doorstep there are plenty of pubs, cafés, restaurants and takeaways; or you can order food direct to the hotel and enjoy in the comfort of the lounge. Reception can assist you with reserving a table.
If you’re bringing a group we may still be able to cater for you, or you can organise an external caterer and utilise our beautiful and large dining room.
